Australia China Alumni of the Year Award   

This prestigious award celebrates all-round distinction in work, life and community service and aims to recognize an alumna/alumnus who has demonstrated excellence in her/his professional career and/or through charitable activities. 

All nominees for this award will have established themselves as leaders in their chosen fields, and will also have made significant contributions to strengthening the relationship between Australia and China. 

The Australia-China Alumni of the Year Award shall be granted by the Awards judging panel from amongst the nominees for all other Awards.

Young Australia China Alumni of the Year Award  

This award is open to all alumni who are not yet 35 years old and are involved in fields of employment, community service or voluntary work.

All nominees should demonstrate integrity, initiative and innovation and be on a fast trajectory to leadership in their field.

This award recognises the achievements of our young alumni and celebrates their outstanding talent, accomplishments, and the contributions they have made to the wider Australia-China community.

CPA Australia China Alumni Award for Corporate Achievement

This award celebrates alumni who have made significant accomplishments within a corporate environment across all industry sectors.

A nominee’s achievements can span an entire career or can be a single outstanding accomplishment, with outcomes that not only advanced the performance of her or his organization but also developed an internal company culture. 

It seeks to recognise both established and emerging commercial leaders, all of whom should have been able to demonstrate leadership ability, a flair for her or his field, and a passion for corporate social responsibility.

This Award is sponsored by CPA Australia.

Austrade Australia China Alumni Award for Entrepreneurship & Innovation

This award recognises alumni who have demonstrated their entrepreneurial and/or innovative abilities in any industry sector.

Nominees can be the owner of, partner in, or investor in an innovative and forward-looking company, or they may have implemented successful entrepreneurial programs in a large company. All nominees should be able to show their creativity, resourcefulness and sustainability, as well as how their work has benefitted wider society.

 Australia China Alumni Award for Research & Science  

This award recognises alumni who have contributed to the development of research and science which has made a significant impact on the Australia-China community.

All nominees are expected to have advanced current knowledge in a particular field, through significant research or scientific work in an academic, corporate or technological setting.

A nominee’s achievements can span all fields of study and work (for example, sciences, technology, medicine, or academic research).

Australian Ambassador’s Award for Women in Leadership

This award is designed to celebrate and honour a woman who not only inspires others but has also proven herself a leader in her field. 

Opened to female alumni only, nominees may come from any sector, including business, government, non-profit and academia and should have demonstrated a commitment to the Australia-China community in China.

All nominees should have made significant strides and accomplishments in their work life, either in the public or private sector.

Australia China Alumni Award for the Arts and Creative Industries  

This award recognises alumni who have achieved excellence in the Arts and Creative sectors and/or whose efforts promote the understanding and value of artistic and creative endeavours. 

It seeks to recognize creativity and success in one or more of a variety of fields, including art and design, architecture, fashion design, literature, music, performing arts, advertising, publishing and the creative media.

A nominee should have a demonstrated ability to use their creative skills in new and innovative ways, perhaps by working across creative mediums, combining or introducing new concepts into the field, and/or introducing creative concepts into new/unique markets.

National Foundation for Australia-China Relations Community Service Award 

This Award recognises alumni and students who have distinguished themselves in service to the community in Australia or China, and who have thereby bettered the lives of others through professional or volunteer efforts.

This award opens to nominees from both alumni and current international students.

This award is supported by the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations.

 

National Foundation for Australia-China Relations International Student Award for Contribution to Social Engagement and Diversity

This Award recognises international and Australian students currently enrolled in any Australian institution who have made outstanding contributions to Chinese students’ understanding of Australia or to the Australian community’s understanding of international students.

This award opens to nominees from both alumni and current international students. 

This award is supported by the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations.

 

Award for Contributions to the Australia-China Relationship  

This Award recognises an individual or group, in any field of work, that has strengthened mutual understanding between Australia and China and thereby made an outstanding and long-lasting contribution to the relationship and the wider Australia-China community.  

This Award is open to alumni and non-alumni, of any citizenship, regardless of location.

New South Wales China Alumni of the Year Award

 

This Award recognises the significant achievements of New South Wales educated alumni in China. This Award celebrates all-round distinction in work, life and community service and aims to recognize an alumna/alumnus who has demonstrated excellence in her/his professional career and/or charitable activities, has supported to strengthen the Australia-China relationship and has potential to influence and inspire others.

This Award is open to Chinese alumni who graduated from a New South Wales university program or TAFE/VET program (in Australia or through an Australian off-shore program in any other country or online) who have made a significant contribution to their field and community in China or Australia.

The New South Wales China Alumni of the Year Award is sponsored by New South Wales Government.

The New South Wales Government Trade & Investment international offices have been established to build linkages and act as a catalyst for closer economic cooperation with NSW’s overseas markets, promoting trade opportunities and facilitating investment into NSW. In China, the NSW offices’ focuses are on the sectors of food & beverage, agribusiness, health & medtech, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing and education.

Study Queensland Alumni Award

This Award recognizes the significant achievements of Queensland educated alumni in China. This Award celebrates all-round distinction in work, life and community service and aims to recognize an alumna/alumnus who has demonstrated excellence in her/his professional career and/or charitable activities, has supported to strengthen the Australia-China relationship and has potentials to influence and inspire others. 

The 2021 Study Queensland Alumni Awards welcome nominees:

  1. Who are nationals of People’s Republic of China, provided they graduated from a Queensland university program or TAFE/VET program (in Australia or through an Australian off-shore program in any other country or online) who have made a significant contribution to their field and community in China or Australia.
  2. Of any age
  3. Who work or live in China or Australia 

This Award is sponsored by Study Queensland, Trade and Investment Queensland. Study Queensland is the State Government organization dedicated to promoting Queensland as a premier study destination and a preferred partner for education, training, research and innovation.
